Bryan and Tiffany are Pedaling for the Kids!!

Tiffany and I are busy Pedaling for the Kids in support of Mary Bridge's Child Abuse Intervention Department (CAID). Instead of riding training rides, we will be actually riding Courage as we ride throughout the Summer. Courage has gone virtual this year and instead of having one big 110 Mile group event August 29-30, each participant will ride 415 Miles between June 2 and August 29. The 415 Miles are in honor the 415 young victims of abuse that CAID was able to help in 2019 thanks to funds raised by Courage. Unfortunately, there is uptick in child abuse cases so far in 2020 due to the stresses in homes caused by school closures and stay at home orders. CAID is uniquely prepared to help with medical and legal resources that make it so each young victim of child abuse, who enters CAID, is physically treated for injuries, psychologically treated for trauma and the child's testimony is professionally video recorded so that the child only has to tell their story once instead of having to repeat the horror, of their ordeal, over and over again in court. We have heard from child abuse survivors that were treated and supported by CAID as children. The common thread is that each is so very grateful and most say that "CAID saved their life."
We are especially excited as this will be the 8th year that Tiffany and I ride Courage together. Courage is a highlight of our year each year as we get to pursue this extreme physical challenge for an important and worthy cause with a great group of loving people while family and friends come along side us to support us and then we see the results of our efforts pay off in the lives of kids who survive child abuse. This year will be different because the event is virtual but still very fun as we will complete most of our 415 miles before August 29. However, we will still have a big finale weekend on August 29 - 30 as we ride up in the Mountain Passes rain or shine. Courage is the primary charitable cause that our family supports each year and Courage has a very special place in our hearts. In 2019 Tiffany and I were able to generate over $7,500 which was made up of donations from Family & Friends combined with our personal donations. In total Courage 2019 raised over $400,000 (up from 200,000 in 2018) to help the kids.
We understand that times are tough and uncertain all around in 2020 and therefore we have made a personal donation to Courage 2020 in the amount donated by each of supporters from Courage 2019 on the behalf of each supporter and our ask for donations is very soft this year as we completely understand that, in many cases, donation just may not be possible this year. Thank you to all our Supporters who made donations in 2019 and all through the 8 years so far. You are very much appreciated and your donation for Courage 2020 has already been made!!
If you are able to and wish to make a donation to courage this year, please use the Donate Now button above. Each year the funds we raise (with the help of family and friends) are made up of donations large and small, so please don't hesitate to make small or large donations. 100% of the funds raised go to the cause as commercial sponsors cover, like Alaska Airlines, the cost of the event and therefore each penny and each dollar donated will go to benefit the children and every donation will be valued tremendously.
