Welcome to Aarthi's Personal Fundraising Page
Please join me as I Ride with Courage. I am fundraising to support victims of child abuse served by Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital and I need your help! For more than 60 years, Mary Bridge has been a nonprofit children's hospital that has counted on support from the community to fulfill its mission of providing care to all children, regardless of their family's ability to pay.
There are many ways you can support these children:

Why are my fundraising efforts important? An estimated 1,564 children died from abuse and neglect in the United States in the year 2014 (the most recent year for which there is national data). Apart from child abuse fatalities, sexual abuse, physical abuse and neglect are forms of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) that researchers have linked to many mental health problems such as mood disorders, anxiety, substance abuse and impulse control disorders. They have also been linked to poor health outcomes like diabetes, STDs, heart disease and early death.
In short, without intervention, child abuse causes lifelong problems.
100% of the funds I raise will go towards Mary Bridge Children's Hospital's Child Abuse Intervention Department (CAID). CAID serves children from birth through age 17 who are victims of suspected abuse or neglect and their families. CAID not only offers medical assistance but also family support and general education to empower members of the community to recognize signs of abuse in children. In 2017 in Mary Bridge, 405 children received outpatient medical exams and 22 medical inpatient consultations for injuries associated with child abuse. These services would not have been possible without donor support.
Insurance doesn't always cover all medical care costs associated with abuse, especially sexual abuse, leaving victims with limited options. In their darkest hour, I hope to stand with victims of child abuse by ensuring that children have access to the services they need to seek justice and healing.
When you support Mary Bridge, you help children get the high-quality, compassionate care they need and deserve. Thank you for helping children at Mary Bridge!
Ready. Set. Courage.
