Harley's Invitational Golf Tournament - First Annual Event
Friends, family, and potential donors:
First and foremost, thank you for your interest in supporting the first annual Harley's Invitational Golf Tournament (2020). To give you a some background on the origination of this event we'd like to tell you a little bit about our daughter, and the namesake of this tournament.
Harley was born on February 25th, 2019. Each and every baby that is born is a miracle, but Harley is particularly special to my wife Kassidy and me. Kassidy's pregnancy was going along smoothly until about the 5 month check-up. During a routine checkup it was discovered that her estriol levels tested significantly lower than normal. From this point forward we had a fairly stressful 4 months until baby Harley was born. The joy of those first few hours was quickly followed by a stressful few days in the NICU. The nurses in the NICU made this time as enjoyable as extra days in the hospital could be. They were empathetic, hardworking, and most importantly great at their jobs. We could not have imagined a more amazing group of people, and are continually thankful for their work each and every day.
For the first six months of Harley's life we made many trips to Mary Bridge Children's to meet with specialists, nurses, P.A.'s, and doctors at their facility. These folks took great care of Harley and put our family at ease. We are extremely blessed to say that Harley is a very happy, healthy one year old baby girl.
Because we had such an amazing experience with the folks in the NICU and at Mary Bridge my wife and I decided that we wanted to do something to pay it forward. We've decided to host a golf tournament that will mutually benefit the Mary Bridge Children's Hospital "Where the Need is Greatest" fund and the NICU. We'd like to cordially invite you to donate, attend, or volunteer to benefit this cause.
Thank you for your interest in this cause. If you have any questions on would like to inquire about playing in the event, sponsoring a hole, or making a general donation (anything helps!) please feel free to reach out to Patrick Lynch at (253) 732-6621 or Danielle Brunson at Mary Bridge: (253) 403-7596.
Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital serves more than 250,000 children every year and depends on the generosity of the community to provide lifesaving care and services. About 65% of children served are on Medicaid – and even the best insurance has gaps in coverage. This fundraiser will ensure that all kids get the care and healing they need at Mary Bridge, regardless of ability to pay.
